North West price comparison website businesscomparison.com is taking its innovative message offline for the first time and celebrating its first year with a marketing drive in the region.

Taxi-Liverpool-CathedralThe Chester based company’s bright logo is adorning black cabs in the cities of Liverpool and Manchester. Radio adverts encouraging business decision makers to “compare, switch and save today” are also being broadcast on stations Smooth Radio North West and talkSPORT. The ads which are quirky and fun describe Businesscomparison.com as “amazeballs” and are voiced by Darren Altman who wowed Simon Cowell and his fellow judges as an impressionist on Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night.

Head of Businesscomparison.com Philip Brennan says the campaign reflects the company’s ambition,

“Since our launch last April we’ve been working tirelessly to bring price comparison to businesses nationwide. It’s very common for consumers to compare bank accounts, mortgages, energy and insurance however, it’s not yet a familiar process to many small and medium sized business owners. In fact, a massive 82 per cent of SMEs are unaware of alternative business funding options and 60 per cent of SMEs are currently spending less than an hour researching lending providers. 50% of businesses never change their energy tariff. We want to create a culture of saving money for small to medium sized businesses.

Taxis-wheel“Cash flow is tight for many businesses in our region so we want to shout out the message loud and clear that Businesscomparison.com is here to help them get the best deals on business bank accounts, commercial mortgages and business energy and insurance, to save money quickly and easily. What better way than for them to hear us and see us in our region’s largest cities.”

He says of the company’s decision to launch a marketing campaign,

Taxis-china-town“We’ve had a fantastically successful year and we now have more than 20,000 users a month to the site. We’ve helped 2,000 companies find the best energy tariff, 3,000 business owners find the finance they need and 8,000 firms chose their bank account with us. Our team has grown and we’ve even taken on a Social Media and Digital Marketing apprentice who is soon to graduate from the Juice Academy. We’ve recently formed new partnerships in energy and van insurance and even met with Eddisbury MP Antoinette Sandbach to discuss the important contribution Businesscomparison.com is making to the alternative finance market for SMEs. We’re excited about the future.  We are actively recruiting and also looking for new premises to house our ever growing team.”
