æternity Starfleet will support projects worldwide from seed stage and provide them with up to $250,000 in funding

æternity, the blockchain 3.0 platform designed to deliver unmatched efficiency, transparent governance, and global scalability, today announced the launch of æternity Starfleet, a series of incubator and accelerator programs to support the global blockchain ecosystem by building a network of innovators, investors, and industry enthusiasts.

With the first cohort taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, æternity Starfleet is a global initiative with coworking spaces in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, Berlin, Germany, and Zagreb, Croatia, as well as an international live-stream option. æternity Starfleet will support global projects from seed stage and provide them with up to $250,000 in funding and access to the co-working space. The first wave of incubators will commence on June 11, 2018, with four weeks of intensive training and mentoring. At the end of every program, each team will be given the opportunity to present their project to an audience of investors, thought leaders, and blockchain experts.

Commenting on the launch, æternity FounderYanislavMalahov said, “Today’s launch is the culmination of months of extensive research and preparation and underlines our commitment to be the enablers of innovation, strengthening the already thriving blockchain community worldwide. We are confident that these incubator programs will accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology globally and support projects that share our vision for a future built on powerful, user-friendly decentralized applications.”

æternity Starfleet will support blockchain education and project development through an ongoing partnership with Software University in Sofia, Bulgaria, as well as creating job opportunities within the region and on an international stage. æternity’s partnership with SoftUni represents a unique collaboration between industry and academia, geared towards developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators to meet the growing demand for blockchain-literate professionals.

HristoTenchev, Founder of SoftUni, “I expect this program will contribute greatly to the blockchain startup ecosystem. With a significant concentration of technical talent and entrepreneurs, a blockchain-focussed incubator program is exactly what the current ecosystem needs.”

A separate entity, æternity Ventures, will manage and oversee the global incubator and accelerator programs. Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, æternity Ventures will also be responsible for strategic business partnerships and investments in early-stage blockchain ventures.

æternity’s CBDO and CEO of æternity Ventures Nikola Stojanow said, “With the program currently operating in Sofia, æternity Starfleet is well positioned to capture and channel the incredible energy in thriving blockchain communities, as we build a robust, worldwide blockchain ecosystem.
