Robert Pearl appointed Division President, to add watercraft, recreational vehicle and motorcycle products

Aegis General Insurance Agency President Robert Kimmel announced today the hiring of Robert Pearl as President of the newly formed Recreational Products Division. Robert Pearl brings over 23 years of experience in the recreational products space, including the last 14 years serving as Director of Recreational Products for American Reliable Insurance Company.

“We are excited that Bob and his team have agreed to join Aegis General to build out this product line for us,” stated Mr. Kimmel. “This division will develop, manage, and distribute products nationwide on behalf of Aegis Security Insurance Company. These additional specialty products will allow Aegis General to continue to meet the needs of our distribution partners.”

Pearl’s role at Aegis General will include management and accelerated growth in its existing products, as well as development of products, management of distribution of recreational products through both managing general agents and independent agencies, and further expansion of Aegis General’s overall distribution network.

“The Aegis General platform represents a unique opportunity to bring high quality competitive products to the recreational products market,” said Mr. Pearl. “The ability to design, implement and grow profitable new products from the ground up with a dynamic specialty company is a challenge I am looking forward to.”

Joining Robert Pearl at Aegis General are Senior Vice President Lori Mehall and Vice President Kevin Pilarski.
