XCEED GROUP LAUNCHES MX PLATFORM TO ACCELERATE MIGRATIONS AND TRANSFORMATION

New mX platform designed to cut datacentre migrations by a third

Xceed Group brings 420 years of IT Change Leadership knowledge and 270 years of datacentre management experience to accelerate enterprise migrations via its new mX platform

Xceed - Global Banking | FinanceXceed Group, experts in accelerating transformational change, announced the launch of its mX migration accelerator platform, a breakthrough in helping companies overcome the challenges associated with major migration projects.

“Business strategies are increasingly being driven by new technologies, particularly the opportunities presented by cloud, mobile, social media and analytics,” says Simon Johnson, Migration Practice Director at Xceed Group. “We built mX in order to give our clients an on-demand, transparent view of their migration programme, ultimately accelerating migrations without increased risk or cost.”

mX is the only end to end platform that allows firms to assess, plan and manage migration programmes. mX is unique in that it is the first integrated planning and management platform dedicated to delivering asset modelling, semi-automated designs and creation of technical architecture, which it underpins with an integrated workflow. Over 420 years of IT Change Leadership experience has gone into designing and building the mX platform, leveraging Xceed Group’s history of building, moving and decommissioning hundreds of datacentres.

This launch of mX follows Gartner recently reporting that 70% of datacentre migrations will incur significant time delays or cause unplanned downtime. Mergers are at their highest level since 2007, with reports of dealmaking soaring during the first six months of 2014, and global mergers and acquisitions totalling £1.03 trillion.

“IT migrations are some of the most complicated events an organisation will face,” says Xceed MD Paul McGolpin. “mX helps datacentre hosting companies, system integrators and companies looking to do a large-scale, enterprise wide migration deliver better services to their customers. The ability to implement rapid change effectively has become a pre-requisite for a highly effective IT function, but the challenge is achieving this without disrupting the current environment. This is what we solve with mX.”

Customers agree that Xceed Group is well-positioned to deliver a comprehensive and robust migration acceleration platform. “Xceed Group understands the art of the possible and has a real can do approach, which has been invaluable,” says former Worldpay CTO Erik Toivonen. “For example, our first plan for the datacentre selection was six months. I asked if it could be done in four and Xceed Group immediately said yes.”

mX is available for both datacentre and desktop large scale migrations, with plans to extend the platform to include cloud and data migrations in the next six months.
