ZURICH, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Holcim wants to be a consolidator in the fragmented building materials industry and will press ahead with acquisitions during 2026 after buying 18 companies in 2025, CEO Miljan Gutovic said on Friday.
"We want to be consolidator where it's possible," Gutovic told reporters after Holcim reported its fourth quarter results.
"M&A is a key pillar of our strategy. We will continue with the same speed," he added.

Holcim completed 18 acquisitions in 2025 across its building materials and building solutions segments.
Holcim has signed a binding agreement to acquire Xella, expected to close in the second half of 2026, and agreed to acquire Cemex’s Colombia operations, slated to close by year‑end.
The acquisitions aim to consolidate a fragmented industry, bolster sustainable and circular building solutions, and expand geographic footprint in Europe and Latin America.
