Richard B. Furey Joins Holland & Knight

Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Richard B. Furey has joined the firm’s Structured Finance and Aircraft Finance practices as a partner. He will be based in the firm’s New York office and split his time with the Miami office.

Extensive Experience in Asset and Aviation Finance

Mr. Furey focuses his practice on international and U.S. domestic asset and infrastructure finance. He has significant experience in the aviation sector and has represented a variety of aircraft lessors, lenders and investors, including BBAM Aircraft Management, International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), Aviation Capital Group (ACG), Wells Fargo Bank, BNP Paribas and Natixis. In addition, Mr. Furey has experience in the financing of other asset classes such as rail and satellites, including his representation of the investors to O3b Network and Globalstar.  He was featured as a rising star by Airfinance Journal in 2010 and has been recognized as a top lawyer in his field by The International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers each year since 2011.

Recent Growth in Aircraft Finance Team

Mr. Furey is the second aircraft finance partner that Holland & Knight has hired this year. In February, Juan Carlos “J.C.” Ferrer joined the firm’s Miami office.
