Adyen CFO Ethan Tandowsky to Depart; Successor Search Underway at Dutch Payment Firm
Adyen Announces CFO Departure and Succession Plans
Official Statement on Ethan Tandowsky's Departure
May 27 (Reuters) - Adyen on Wednesday said its Chief Financial Officer Ethan Tandowsky will leave at the end of August to take an external role, prompting the Dutch payments company to begin a search for a successor.
The company said Tandowsky would step down effective August 31 and that its supervisory board would look for a replacement and give an update later.
Supervisory Board's Response
"Though we are surprised by the timing, we respect his decision to take on a new challenge and wish him the best," supervisory board chair Piero Overmars said in a statement.
Tandowsky's Tenure and Achievements
Tandowsky joined Adyen in 2016 and became chief financial officer in 2023. During his tenure, the group expanded into markets such as North America and Asia during a broader slowdown in the global payments industry.
Co-CEOs' Remarks
"We regret his decision but value his contribution," Adyen co-CEOs Pieter van der Does and Ingo Uytdehaage said in the statement.
