Aug 24 (Reuters) - A group of senior creditors of struggling British utility Thames Water said on Monday it had picked an initial cohort of directors to lead the debt-laden company if its rescue deal goes through.

Mike McTighe, Liz Barber, Clive Selley and Bernadette Kelly are among the proposed non-executive directors for the Thames Water board, the London & Valley Water consortium said.

Overseeing the Turnaround Plan
"It is proposed that these individuals will join the Thames Water board to oversee Thames Water's 10-year turnaround and deliver a comprehensive transformation of Thames Water in the interest of customers and the public," the consortium said.
