LISBON, May 19 (Reuters) - Members of Portuguese cabin crew union SNPVAC have voted to join a June 3 nationwide strike that will disrupt flights operated by airlines including TAP, Ryanair and EasyJet, a union spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Background of the Strike
The general strike was called by Portugal's largest umbrella union, CGTP, in protest against the government's labour reforms.

SNPVAC said it could not remain indifferent to what it described as an "unprecedented attack on established rights and fundamental principles" by the government.

TAP is the largest airline with a base in the country, usually operating about 300 flights a day to and from Portuguese airports, followed by Ryanair and easyJet then smaller carriers such as Azores Airlines.
