  • Distec will unveil new cutting-edge medical technology at the upcoming UK Health Show 2018
  • The technology includes revolutionary point-of-care mobile carts, high-performing medical grade computers and interactive touchscreen and self-service stands

Specialist healthcare technology solutions provider Distec is due to showcase a range of next-generation technologies at the UK Health Show 2018, including revolutionary point of care mobile carts, high-performing medical-grade computers and interactive touchscreens, plus self-service stands.

The UK Health Show takes place 25th-26th September at the Excel Centre in London, and is the country’s leading gathering of NHS, primary care, independent sector, local authorities and private providers who want to overcome the challenges of digital transformation within the healthcare sector.

Distec will be exhibiting in partnership with Howard Medical and Elo Touch Solutions to bring the latest innovations in medical technology to the UK sector, helping healthcare professionals to drive efficiencies, reduce costs and ultimately enhance patient care.

Howard Medical’s advanced mobile carts are well-established in the US, and Distec is working with the firm to bring them to the UK market for the first time. The carts are fully customisable according to the needs of each care setting, and support electronic patient records (EPR), the Paperless 2020 initiative and ePMA, therefore supporting the wider healthcare sector challenges of digital transformation and greater health and social care integration. The carts feature advanced medication delivery systems, on-demand steer assist technology, intelligent ergonomics, extended battery life and flexible storage, and are therefore suitable for use in a range of health and social care settings, including hospitals, clinics and care homes.

Elo Touch Solutions is a specialist provider of touchscreen solutions for multiple industries. Working with Distec, they offer a range of touch monitors for EPR updates, patient self-service kiosks and appointment check-in screens, all aiming to improve patient safety and speed up manual processes.

Wes Craddock, International Sales Manager at Howard Medical said: “We are excited to exhibit our innovative mobile cart solutions at one of the UK’s leading health shows and connect with healthcare professionals across the UK. Howard Medical in partnership with Distec Ltd is well-positioned to deliver unique solutions that will enhance providers’ efforts to meet the demands of EPR and ePMA today and into the future.”

Noel Sheppard, Director of Distec said: “We understand how beneficial digital technology can be when deployed in a healthcare setting – reductions in paperwork, improved audit trails for medication, reduction of prescribing and administration errors, increased communication between hospital departments and pharmacies, and secure data – all supporting practitioners in delivering better patient care”

“We’re very excited to be exhibiting at the leading show of its type in the UK. We are confident that our solutions will be at the heart of enhanced patient care and cost savings and help drive digital transformation change in the UK healthcare sector.”
