Ukraine’s Wheat Crop Projected at 22-23 Million Tons for 2026, Says UAC
Ukraine Wheat Harvest Forecast and Market Overview
KYIV, May 26 (Reuters) - Ukraine could harvest 22 to 23 million metric tons of wheat in 2026, in line with 2025 production of 23 million tons, major farmers' union UAC's trade department said on Tuesday.
Ukraine is a large European wheat grower and exporter.

2026 and 2025 Wheat Harvest Projections
• The economy ministry has said farmers can harvest around 22.4 million tons of wheat this year.
• APK-Inform agriculture consultancy expects the harvest at 20 million tons, 15% less than in 2025.
Wheat Stocks and Trade Contracts
• UAC said Ukrainian wheat stocks could total 4.5 million tons as of June 1 against 2.6 million tons a year earlier.
• The union added that traders had already contracted about 3 million tons of wheat from the 2026 harvest.
Wheat Exports in the 2025/26 Season
• The economy ministry said this week Ukraine exported 12.27 million tons of wheat so far the 2025/26 season as of May 25 versus 14.80 as of May 30, 2025.
