LONDON, June 2 ((Reuters)) - Global commodity trading house Gunvor's office in Geneva was searched by Swiss prosecutors in May in as part of a criminal investigation into bribery of foreign officials by persons unknown, the office of the attorney general of Switzerland said in a statement on Tuesday.
Gunvor's Response to the Investigation
In its own statement, Gunvor said it is not the target of the investigation and that it had reported issues to the authorities a year ago, pertaining to a $2 million fraud scheme by a maritime service provider it had taken to the UAE courts and fired a former employee over.
