Highlights from EARNIE’s First Customer Conference

Thursday 17th January saw EARNIE, part of IRIS Software Group, hold its first ever customer conference at Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire. Over 150 payroll professionals attended the event, which aimed to educate attendees on upcoming legislation, provide software updates and tips and enable them to network with other payroll professionals.

Guest speakers included: John Bullen from HMRC, who provided attendees with an update on Real Time Information (RTI); Karen Thomson from Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), who spoke about the importance of payroll and raising the function’s profile across businesses; and Andrew Fleming from the Pensions Regulator, who gave an overview of pension auto-enrolment and how to prepare for it.
