Lindenhouse Software launches new mobile app at Accountex
Lindenhouse Software, developers of the preferred document management system of 27 of the top 100 UK accounting firms announced the launch of Virtual Cabinet® Portal app.
This secure document exchange mobile application designed specifically for registered users of the Virtual Cabinet® Document Portal provides a secure, legally compliant and comprehensively audited way to action documents, anytime and anywhere, saving time and money.
The Virtual Cabinet Portal app allows accountants and their clients to access and view documents published to them directly from their phone or tablet device with the confidence that they remain confidential. Recipients can securely access their documents and review, sign, approve or reject them from the kind of devices used on a day-to-day basis.
Alison Jackson, Director, Lindenhouse Software comments: “Security is key here as the Portal app allows the user to choose to pre-download documentation securely onto the device knowing they will have access to the documents even if they do not have access to the Internet at the time of their meeting. Accountants, bound by a duty of client confidentiality, are increasingly turning to integrated document portals that form part of document management systems to ensure all electronic communication is secure. Use of a portal guarantees complete security and traceability through a full audit trail and allows users to publish documents to an individual notifying them via an email address. The document is securely uploaded to the Cloud and an email notification sent to the client advising them that there is a document for their attention and they can access and view documents published to them via the portal website or directly from their phone or tablet device.
