Straight talking, no nonsense fashion brand Blue Inc has been dressing style-conscious men and boys since 1912, providing affordable, on-trend looks from high-street stores across the UK. It wanted to grow its customer base further in Europe and selected the full service ecommerce offering from Ingenico to help drive its international expansion and tailor a best fit service for customers.

Blue Inc is now able to develop its online presence and drive digital sales not just in the UK, but in Europe too, incorporating local domains in France, Germany and Russia.

Ingenico integrated its fully customised online payment gateways into Blue Inc’s ecommerce platform within a strict deadline. Together with Blue Inc’s eCommerce partner, Visualsoft, who developed the retailer’s online platform, it set up payment solutions for French and German domains in under a month, helping to significantly reduce the lead time for Blue Inc’s international expansion.

Lee Whitehead, Director of eCommerce at Blue Inc explained: “Ingenico ensures the smoothest customer experience, combined with full service and fraud prevention tools. It offers a very wide range of supported payment methods and rather than simply enabling them, Ingenico’s experts worked closely with us to clearly define the most relevant payment choices for each market.”

Blue Inc has also noticed a significant improvement in authorisation success rates for transactions, which has, in turn, considerably reduced the number of chargebacks Blue Inc has experienced, saving the company money and helping to protect consumers from fraud.

Denise Morcom, Head of UK Sales for Small and Medium Businesses, Ingenico Group, commented: “Blue Inc now benefits from comprehensive eCommerce payment coverage across Europe including local domains for the UK, Russia, France and Germany. With a highly localised checkout experience, Blue Inc has seen tremendous success, maximising conversion as it expands across the continent.”

“Ingenico was able to act as a single financial and technology partner for all things payment acceptance. Having just one contract, support agreement and centralised back office has been really beneficial,” Whitehead added.

Following the success of the partnership, Ingenico Group will continue to support Blue Inc, furthering its localisation efforts as it continues to expand overseas.
