Gowling WLG appoints Ian Mason Head of UK Financial Services to strengthen Tax and Funds team
International law firm Gowling WLG’s has strengthened its global Tax and Funds team with the appointment of Ian Mason as Head of UK Financial Services & Regulatory (FSR).
With over 20 years’ experience, Ian joins Gowling WLG as a partner from DLA Piper. Ian’s primary focus as Head of UK Financial Services will be to build upon the firm’s established FSR practice to grow the strength and depth of the team.
Ian brings with him significant experience as a senior regulatory lawyer with both contentious and diverse advisory experience as a former financial services partner at other international law firms and as a former Head of Department in the Enforcement Division of the FSA.
On joining the firm, partner Ian Mason, said: “I’m really pleased to join Gowling WLG and am looking forward to supporting the continued growth of the firm. The firm has an established and growing financial services client base, and I am looking forward to advising those clients as they face increasing regulatory change and challenges.”
