Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, announced the launch of BaNCS App Development Kit (ADK) that enables Banks to design and build their own Apps faster and seamlessly deploy across devices and desktops.

Digital technologies are empowering people and businesses to get things done interactively and instantaneously. It is increasingly becoming critical for financial institutions to have architectures that will enable continuous availability of data, systems, applications and business processes. Such an architecture allows enterprises to completely reimagine different aspects of their businesses. The core of this need is to have an App Development Environment that can let banks reimagine their business processes, products and services as a series of Enterprise and Consumer Apps with the necessary connectivity to the back-end core systems.
“Today’s digital world has compelled banks to deliver improved customer experiences to individuals and small businesses, and they’ve got to continually improve these offerings as customer expectations change” said Dan Latimore, Celent’s Senior Vice President for Banking. “Enabling the business – people like product managers and business analysts – to be the prime designer, rather than tossing the projects over the wall to design firms, platform providers and IT, will be a quicker path to value. Better efficiency, effectiveness, and speed are the results when the business can configure solutions on its own.”

Commenting on the launch, SathishVallat, Head of TCS BaNCS Digital said “We envision apps to supplant browser-based interfaces — not just on mobile phones, tablets, kiosks, IoT-connected devices, but also on desktop PCs in a single code base. The vision for BaNCS ADK is to transfer flexibility and speed of development to the Bank, leveraging a library of business aware financial widgets and components.”
