Active Risk Manager 7 Launch Overview

Sword Active Risk announced the availability of Active Risk Manager (ARM) 7, which significantly strengthens the product’s Audit Management offering. The new functionality makes it much easier for organizations looking to integrate their risk and audit functions with strong links between the risk and audit processes. In addition ARM 7 introduces more powerful report sharing facilities and has extended its range of supported operating systems to ensure continued performance, security and supportability.

Nick Scully, COO at Sword Active Risk said; “ARM 7 has been developed in direct response to feedback from our customers that are increasingly looking to extend their use of ARM and to integrate their risk and audit functions. Combining these two functions provides greater assurance to the risk and control process and provides risk-based leadership for audit universe analysis and planning, while also delivering against the Institute of Internal Auditors, recommended risk based audit management process.

Key Features of ARM Audit Management

ARM Audit Management is a new module for ARM 7 which provides a single data store to manage all audits, supporting better management information and governance of the audit process, across the organization. ARM Audit Manager provides the ability to record, monitor and report on different types of audits including internal, quality management, health & safety, and compliance, and provides focus on audit recommendations, making the whole process more efficient and effective. Audit can review existing risks and controls as part of the audit scope, and can create new candidate risks as a result of audit findings.

Enhanced Report Sharing

Enhanced Reporting and Usability

ARM 7 includes new report sharing features, including a new configurable report launcher that simplifies and personalizes access to reports where multiple user communities’ access different report sets. Users are able to select the reports to view on their launch pad, rename them, and execute using filters.  This simplifies the reporting process by providing access to only those reports required by that particular user group.

ARM 7 supports an extended range of operating systems including SQL 2012, Windows Server 2012, Oracle Primavera P6 8.3 and Internet Explorer 11.
