Sancus Finance, the specialist business financial services firm, have confirmed that Andrew Oppe has joined the business as Regional Director – London & South East. Based in Essex, Andrew will be responsible for continuing to grow the firms’ portfolio of clients by delivering flexible and innovative financial solutions to businesses in the region,

Sancus Finance have seen a sustained period of growth during the last 12 months following a significant investment in the business by their parent, the Sancus BMS Group, which has resulted in a focused drive to expand their geographic footprint. The firm is committed to ensuring that UK businesses can access the flexible funding solutions they need to support their business growth.

Andrew has a strong background built up in the financial services sector. He joins Sancus Finance from HSBC where he was responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of small and medium sized businesses. He successfully achieved year on year income growth by supporting his clients and their business ambitions through the delivery of complex financial products designed around their specific needs.

Sancus Finance specialise in the provision of Supply Chain Finance, which ensures faster payment to suppliers and property finance to cover purchase, bridging and development projects. In addition to this, they also offer two specialist finance solutions – Education Finance, designed for Educational Institutions and a Vendor Partner Programme for businesses looking to support the purchasing capability of their customers.

Andrew will be working closely with financial intermediaries in the region who act in an advisory capacity to businesses, supporting them with high level financial planning and working capital solutions.

As Andrew comments: “It’s great to be part of a growing and dynamic business. Their commitment to the provision of alternative finance to UK SMEs is refreshing and is a real boost to the growth of these businesses and to the economy on a larger scale during these challenging times. London and the South East has always been a progressive region, but the current uncertainty in the economy can affect trading momentum. I want to reach out to businesses in the region and prove that we will provide certainty of funding to give them confidence to go out and seek growth.”

The Sancus Group has seen consistent growth, having provided more than £578m of funding to SMEs and entrepreneurs. The business attributes this continued growth to delivering fast and flexible finance solutions to clients on their own terms as well as diligent risk management, which is aimed at delivering a transparent and professional service to both funders and clients.

Richard Whitehouse, Sales Director at Sancus Finance said: “We are delighted to have Andrew on board. He is well versed with the challenges that businesses experience when working capital is in short supply and has a proven track record in delivering relevant and practical solutions to support his clients’ continued development plans. Sancus Finance believe in UK businesses and are committed to ensuring their financing needs are met, so they can drive on with their growth plans”.
