    ITB BERLIN VISITORS EXPECTED TO GENERATE THOUSANDS IN INTERNATIONAL ROAMING FEES

    The world’s largest travel expo, ITB will be held in Berlin from 5th – 9th March and will attract visitors from all over the world.  As many as 170,000 visitors are expected to visit the expo this year; this will include 113,000 trade visitors, and 11,000 represented companies from as much as 180 countries.  The expo will showcase the latest in the travel industry and highlight a huge selection of travel destinations, travel products and adventure travel.

    During the ITB expo, international visitors are expected to generate thousands in international roaming bills.   A typical user within the EU over the course of a week could expect to pay an average of £126.70* while visitors outside the EU may pay up to 10 times this amount.

    Arif Reza, the CEO at WorldSIM, who are exhibiting at the event, commented “International trade visitors generate a lot of business from ITB so it’s vital that they can stay in contact while they are away. Visitors from outside Europe are likely to feel the impact of high roaming fees.  If they don’t have an international roaming solution in place they should ensure they understand their data consumption before they travel.”

    WorldSIM are specialists in international roaming and have developed a range of products that significantly reduce roaming fees in over 175 countries.  WorldSIM can reduce roaming costs for European visitors by about 50% and as much as 85% for those outside the EU.
