On 3rd May, global network provider BSO and The Realization Group, a financial consultancy, are joint-hosting a panel discussion on the future of Foreign Exchange (FX) trading.

The discussion. entitled “Taking the Leap into Asia and Cryptocurrencies: The Future of FX Trading”, will focus on two major changes; the rise of FX in Asia and the sudden emergence of cryptocurrencies into the mainstream. The BIS Triennial Central Bank Survey of global FX trading in September 2016 outlined Asian regional growth from 15% to 21%, a figure which is bound to have jumped considerably since. Similarly, following the Bitcoin boom, there is the creeping emergence of cryptocurrency trading on an institutional level – particularly in Asia.

The panel, which will be moderated by Realization Group’s Mike O’Hara, includes Michael Ourabah, CEO at BSO, Tom Higgins, CEO at Gold-I, Ramy Soliman, CEO at Stater Global Markets, Jon Vollemaere, CEO at R5FX, Stephane Malrait, Global Head of eCommerce and Innovation for Financial Markets at ING, and Eddie Tofpik, Head of Technical Analysis and Senior Markets Analyst at ADM Investor Services International Ltd.

Commenting ahead of the event, Michael Ourabah, CEO of BSO said: “In FX, now more than ever, it’s imperative to keep on top of market trends. Volumes and volatility have been relatively stagnant in recent years and the traditional currency scene in established markets is failing to sustain the appetite of traders, so naturally profit seekers are looking elsewhere for new opportunities – the industry is entering unchartered territory.”

The event will take place at the London Stock Exchange from 17:30 to 20:30 next Thursday.
