Noda Teams Up with UK Merchants to Launch Customer-Powered QR Payment Campaigns"

Open banking payments provider Noda is teaming up with small businesses across the UK to launch a series of promotional QR code payment campaigns that make every transaction simpler, faster, and more rewarding.

Whether you’re running a neighbourhood café, a local barbershop, or a rental agency, one thing is clear: today’s customers expect instant, cashless ways to pay — and small businesses need affordable, flexible solutions that don’t require complex hardware or costly contracts.

Noda’s QR payment technology enables businesses to accept bank-to-bank payments on the spot using nothing but a smartphone or printed code — no terminals, no card readers, and no hidden fees. It’s a modern solution designed with independent merchants in mind.

And now, with help from Noda’s promotional support, businesses are turning payments into moments of customer engagement:

    • In Glasgow, G4 Properties, a respected letting agency, used Noda to simplify how tenants pay rental deposits. To make it even more impactful, they offered a £50 IKEA voucher to every new tenant who paid via Noda.
    • In Neilston, Barber Browns, a family-run barbershop, replaced their outdated card terminal with a mobile QR code. The result? Instant payments and local buzz, thanks to a campaign offering free haircuts to the first 50 customers who paid with Noda and posted online using #paynoda.

“These kinds of campaigns show how QR payments can be more than just functional,” says Furraz Hussain, Regional Sales Manager at Noda. “We’re helping merchants deliver smoother payments and surprise their customers with something extra.”

    For merchants, Noda offers:

    • Quick setup with no hardware or setup costs
    • Instant payouts to their bank account
    • Flat transaction fee of just £0.20 after a 2-month free trial
    • Branded, secure customer payment journeys

More importantly, Noda supports independent businesses in going cashless without added complexity. Whether you're a mobile nail technician, a boutique fitness studio, a food truck vendor, or a barbershop owner, Noda’s plug-and-play solution works out of the box — and on the go.

Additional promotional partnerships are planned across the UK this summer.
