Leading pervasive network security solutions provider, ForeScout, has announced that three new executives have joined the company – Paul Phillips, senior vice president, corporate and business development; Laura Owen, vice president of human resources; and Darren Milliken, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate compliance officer.

Phillips will augment corporate and business development at ForeScout. Prior to joining ForeScout, he held senior management positions in the technology investment banking groups of Citigroup, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs. In his 20 plus year career in investment banking, he focused on the enterprise software sector and completed transactions for IBM, Microsoft, Checkpoint and Symantec, among others.

Owen will help develop all aspects of ForeScout’s global HR functions, including organisational strategic planning, building infrastructure and systems, recruiting and employee communications. A prior labour and employment attorney at Cooley LLP, Owen’s career spans more than 20 years of providing strategic and functional direction at leading technology companies such as Cisco, Spirent and Credence.

Milliken will build out legal capacity as general counsel and compliance officer for ForeScout. Previously, Milliken was with Accuray for 10 years and most recently served as its senior vice president and general counsel. During his 20-year career, Milliken also held senior management positions at Sanmina-SCI Corp and Voyan Technology and was in private practice at the law firm of Blakely Sokoloff Taylor & Zafman LLP.

Gord Boyce, CEO of ForeScout, commented, “As we gear up to meet the demand for pervasive network security, we’re expanding our executive team with the addition of three key vice presidents to help scale corporate growth.” Boyce added, “I’m extremely pleased with these additions to my team as each possess key qualities that will help bolster the company for long-term success – experience, leadership, dynamic personality and a proven track record.”

ForeScout offers network security solutions that enable the Global 2000 enterprises and government agencies to continuously monitor and mitigate security exposures and cybersecurity attacks. The company is positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant in the Gartner Inc. 2013 Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control, and Frost & Sullivan has acclaimed the company as the largest independent NAC vendor and one that is growing the fastest in the market.
