Ad Council, South Korean mobile ad network Cauly, deepens global traction in key markets

Kochava Labs SEZC, a research and development subsidiary of Kochava Inc., announces new strategic partners to OnXCHNG, the partnership program for the industry’s open source blockchain framework for the digital advertising ecosystem, XCHNG.

In addition, XCHNG adds two advisors to its impressive stable of advertising and blockchain leaders—Stefan Rust, Founder & CEO of Exicon, and Nick Johnson, Head of Advertising Sales at McClatchy. New OnXCHNG partners include the leading South Korean mobile advertising network Cauly (owned by FSN Asia Private Limited), non-profit organization and largest producer of public service advertising Ad Council, advertising leads technology platform PX, and data enrichment platform Gravy Analytics.

Kochava CEO, Charles Manning, said, “In the past few months, the XCHNG team has been making great strides in building key partnerships and developing strategic relationships. The Asian market is a critical component of our go-to-market strategy, and we are encouraged by the positive reception we have been receiving from the region. Our announcement of South Korean blockchain fund #Hashed’s investment during Korean Blockchain Week was just the beginning. With Cauly, the number one ranked mobile advertising network in South Korea backed by the leading digital marketing company Future Stream Networks (FSN), we are excited to establish a true foothold in the market for XCHNG.”

XCHNG leverages smart contract technology and enables third-party, market-driven payment providers to facilitate escrow, fiat conversion, or payment depending on the needs of the participants in an insertion order (IO). Through a combination of sharding (in which consensus work is split through different branches of the blockchain), sidechain architecture, a daily rolling chain, Proof of Stake, and other innovative technologies, XCHNG is able to service millions of digital ads per second, making it one of the fastest blockchains in existence. Back in February, XCHNG was demonstrated in front of a live audience during the Kochava Mobile Summit.

Cho Changhyun, CEO of FSN Asia Private Limited, said: “At FSN, my business has taken me throughout the Asia Pacificregion, and my team deals with major issues within the digital advertising ecosystem on a daily basis. With my experience in blockchain, it’s very apparent that blockchain can bring about the transparency and trust that is much-needed in the current climate. Charles and his team at XCHNG have approached the ecosystem’s problem thoughtfully with XCHNG, and they are uniquely qualified to build this unified framework for digital advertising on the blockchain. There needs to be a paradigm shift in the industry, and we are thrilled to join XCHNG on this journey.”

XCHNG is being built as a base layer infrastructure for the digital advertising ecosystem and is designed to provide the benefits of blockchain to both buyers and sellers of digital advertising. The XCHNG platform is centered around the next-generation insertion order. Along with the benefits of transparency and security that comes with blockchain technology, advertisers can receive a trustworthy record of placement and service of their ads.
