Tagga’s industry-leading customer data platform will serve as the foundational technology to create sophisticated customer profiles, enabling Campaign Monitor to execute hyper-personalised marketing campaigns

Campaign Monitor, the leading provider of intelligent email marketing and automation software for growing brands, today announced it has acquired Tagga, the premier customer data platform for marketers. By combining Tagga’s customer data platform with its leading email marketing and automation software, Campaign Monitor will deliver a more targeted and sophisticated CRM system for growing companies.

Gartner predicts that the CRM market will surpass $36 billion in the coming year, eclipsing the big enterprise software markets. Traditionally, CRM providers have developed software for B2B companies focused on account-based marketing, the kind of marketing that is heavily business process driven and requires a sales representative to nurture relationships. B2C brands, in contrast, need scalable software that keeps track of millions of customers and their associated behavioural data to segment and personalise engagement.

“Data is the fuel of the future. It’s growing faster than ever before and marketers need to continually capture that behavioural data, extract insights and take action,” said Alex Bard, CEO, Campaign Monitor. “With Tagga, Campaign Monitor will be the marketer’s behavioural data-driven CRM, powering more effective ways for marketers to engage with customers.”

With this acquisition, Campaign Monitor is democratising access to behavioural data and empowering marketers to automatically capture data and create behavioural profiles for their customers to meaningfully drive a greater return for their business.

“Tagga empowers marketers with a 360 degree view of their customers,” said BenjFayle, CTO, Tagga. “With Campaign Monitor’s leading email marketing and automation, marketers can now drive conversations from customer intelligence.”

Email subscribers are more than just clicks and opens, they are customers browsing your website, engaging with your social channels, and shopping. Campaign Monitor and Tagga will bring all of these activities together to create a unified customer profile within a behaviourally driven CRM, designed for the unique needs of B2C companies.

“Campaign Monitor and Tagga are already driving engagement and revenue for our business, and we’re thrilled about the acquisition,” said Punam Pathak, SVP of sales & marketing, Flight Centre Travel Group. “Combined, they’ll deliver a unified B2C CRM platform that empowers us to execute hyper-personalised marketing campaigns.”

    Pricing & Availability

Tagga will be integrated into Campaign Monitor’s platform with a beta offering planned for calendar year 2017. Pricing for the new offering will be announced at the time of general availability.
