    TmaxSoft TIBERO database management system to complement Applied Technologies solutions set as it drives enterprise infrastructure upgrades –

    Applied Technologies, specialists in data centre design, IBM servers, storage and software, has become the latest industry name to sign up to TmaxSoft’s Premier Partner program.

    A Covenco Group Company, Applied Technologies has 15 data centre engineers at its disposal with skills in not only IBM, but Dell and HP Intel, Power Systems AIX and iOS, IBM, Dell and HP Storage, Windows, VMWare, SAN Storage and Fabric.

    Founded in 1997 in South Korea, TmaxSoft recently entered the UK market with a portfolio of mission-critical enterprise software, which includes the TIBERO relational database management system. The new partnership has been achieved through its strategic partner program designed to broaden its distribution to offer a viable alternative to other rational database vendors.

    James Rickman, Senior IBM Sales, Applied Technologies, stated: “We partner with other industry experts to deliver combined solutions for virtualisation, systems management, security, systems optimisation and resilience with specifically trained technical teams for the IBM, Dell and HP environments.  With more and more systems struggling to cope the today’s growing data needs, there is a very real and present need for solutions that address not only performance but efficiency as well.  Every company wants to reduce costs; but to do so without sacrificing the tools to drive their business forward,”

    “For many organisations, replacing their Oracle database would reduce licensing and maintenance costs. However, many consider the potential development time, staff training requirements, and ultimately change costs, tie them in to their Oracle database. This doesn’t need to be the case as we are demonstrating through our partnership with TmaxSoft.”

    Joe Kim, UK MD, TmaxSoft added: “TIBERO is an “Oracle-compatible” database that gives users the freedom of choice to retain their investment in both people and technology, with the same expected levels of performance and familiar interface. The only differences are the more agreeable costs and flexible licensing terms; without the risk and expense associated with changing to any other vendor or open source.”

    “Not only does TIBERO’s core technology enable high productivity and operate with stability during peak levels of demand, based on a time scale of five years, users can enjoy cost savings of up to 60 per cent compared to other existing commercial DBMSs in the market.
