The disease which continues to spread in Africa is currently classified by the U.N. health body as a public health emergency of international concern, which represents the highest form of alert.

Mpox, also known as monkeypox, is a viral disease that can cause fever, rash, and swollen lymph nodes. It is primarily spread through close contact with infected individuals or animals.
