Specialists in electrical installations, Ventola Projects Ltd., who work with clients from a wide range of sectors, have recently completed another exciting project.
With plenty of experience working within the entertainment sector, the firm was asked to update the lighting within family entertainment centre, Fun Station, located in St. Stephen’s Shopping Centre in the UK City of Culture for 2017 – Hull.
The centre is packed with the latest gaming technology, including family favourites such as air hockey and ten-pin bowling and is enjoyed by people of all ages looking for fun.
Having undertaken lighting projects and energy audits at a number of leisure venues, including another Fun Station venue located in Nottingham, the Ventola team were the perfect choice for this project.
With lighting essential in creating the right mood for a venue such as Fun Station, it was important that Ventola’s lighting solution was vibrant, enticing and atmospheric.

Ventol Blade Coming Soon
The Ventola team decided to supply and install a VAvR LED lighting solution. This flexible lighting choice ensured that the venue would be perfectly lit and along with helping to set the right tone when the venue is open, VAvR LED also offers a practical solution when the venue is closed; ensuring cleaning and maintenance tasks can easily be undertaken.
Committed to energy efficiency, Ventola also felt that LED bulbs were the best option for Fun Station, which has the potential to consume large amounts of energy, thanks to their energy saving properties.
As they do not waste energy through heat production, unlike traditional bulbs, LED lighting boasts lower energy consumption and an incredible lifespan, meaning bulbs have to be replaced much less frequently. The result is lower energy bills and reduced maintenance costs.
Along with successfully delivering lighting solutions to customers across the UK, the Ventola team have also been busy getting ready to launch a new product targeted at the leisure industry. The VAvR Blade is a mid-range lighting assembly which is suitable for a variety of applications and is set to hit the market soon.
Speaking of the new product, the firm’s Managing Director, Mick Ventola said, “We are always looking at innovative new ways to offer our customers the best possible products. The introduction of the new VAvR Blade to our suite of LED products will see us further able to deliver lighting solutions that are energy-efficient, look great and function well.”
