Tom Higgins, CEO of Gold-i, has won the Vistage Leadership Award for Innovation – a prestigious national business award which was presented to him by Dara O’Briain at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.

The Vistage UK & Ireland Leadership Awards honour business leaders from across the UK for their accomplishments in the business world and in their communities.  Since spotting a gap in the market in 2009 to enhance the FX trading process for retail brokers, Tom Higgins has grown Gold-i from Surrey start-up business to global market leader, helping brokers around the world to trade more profitably and manage their risk more effectively.

Innovation is at the heart of Gold-i’s offering and Tom Higgins has been the inspiration and driving force behind the company, leading the product development teams as they continue to push boundaries in the retail FX space by offering products and services which are not available from any other trading systems integrator in the world.

According to Steve Gilroy, Chief Executive of Vistage International (UK) Ltd and one of the judges, “Tom Higgins was the clear winner of our Innovation Leadership Award. It is rare to see innovation applied so successfully within a product and market sector, in a way that transforms business practices and moves an entire industry forward. Congratulations Tom, a well-deserved win.”

Commenting on his win, Tom Higgins adds, “Gold-i has won many industry and business awards over the last few years in recognition of our market leading products and ongoing innovation but this is the first award which relates to the leadership of the company. This personal accolade means a lot to me – a strong endorsement of my management style, business ethos and vision. The insight, coaching and mentoring which I have received from the Vistage Group and Chairman in Surrey over the last year has been invaluable in helping me to develop my leadership skills and evolve the business.”
