It is not very easy to attract customers without spending a dime on advertising and marketing. However, neither is it impossible. There are times when you might not be able to afford these expenses, in such situations it is best to restore to old but good marketing strategies, which one can implement on their own at almost zero cost.

Following are some of the ways to attract customers without spending a dime:

Make use of social networking sites: You can think of ways to connect social media websites into your products and let users share their experiences. Not only does this attract user attention, it also gives potential customers information about your site. Once you have created a profile on social media platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook, start building engagement. After building traffic and engagement, you can start promoting your products without advertisements.

Leverage email: Email is a great tool that offers a level of personalization. It can be used to promote your product among new as well as existing customers. Your email strategy can include highlighting special discounts or offers to generate interest among customers and sending out newsletters to promote the product.

Create original and creative content: The customers of today love engagement. They want to feel connected to the product before buying it, and one of the best ways to reach out to them is via podcasts and webinars. You can also create videos explaining the features of your product. Additionally, you can share articles and blogs related to your products on a daily basis. This will show the customers that you have done your homework and are a serious seller.

Offer discounts: You need to offer discounts to customers in order to make them buy your product. Everyone loves a good deal and by offering a discount you will make it difficult for them to say no to making a purchase. You can also offer free shipping and other freebies like miniature versions of the product.

Make personal sales: Selling in person is the most traditional way to do business. It is also the best way as it helps you to gauge the level of interest of the customer. The minute you see a potential customer losing interest, you can change your line of discussion. This method also allows you to demonstrate the benefits of your product thereby increasing your chances of making a sale.

Host events: You need to organize events in order to highlight your products. If a potential customer has a good experience with the products at these events, they will definitely buy the product and even recommend the same to family and friends. You can also customize the products at these events in order to boost sales.

Feedback and follow-up: You need to have an aggressive feedback and follow-up strategy in place if you want to acquire new customers and not lose the old ones. Even the smallest dissatisfaction can drive your customers to your competitors. You need to stay in touch with your customers continuously and seek their feedback in order to improve the quality of your products and services.

    Conclusion

It is not always necessary to spend a fortune on advertising and marketing of your business in order to attract customers. A great product offering along with an equally great strategy that includes the aforesaid practices can also lead to success.
