Certified app available on ServiceNow Store syncs Sumerian CPaaS (Capacity Planning as-a-Service) with ServiceNow’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

Sumerian, the U.K. headquartered predictive capacity analytics provider, has announced it has received certification of its Sumerian Sync Services application with ServiceNow®. Certification by ServiceNow signifies that Sumerian Sync Serviceshas successfully completed a set of defined tests focused on integration interoperability, security and performance. The certification also ensures that best practices are used in the design and implementation of the Sumerian Sync Services application with ServiceNow.

This new integration enriches Sumerian CPaaS (Capacity Planning as-a-Service) capacity insight with business service information from ServiceNow by synching with ServiceNow’s CMDB. The CMDB provides a single system of record for IT, providing service managers with an accurate view of the assets in their IT environment and current configuration data. Leveraging the business service discovery from the CMDB, Sumerian CPaaS generates vital insight that can be used to inform ServiceNow workflows with rich intelligence on business service capacity, risk and cost.

Sumerian CPaaS can identify potential risks, such as a disk volume that will fill up in two weeks’ time, and automatically raise an incident ticket so that the appropriate action is taken.  This enables users to model and assess the impact of service growth on underlying service infrastructure after which a change request can be created automatically.

“In an age of increasingly complex IT infrastructures, having access to the latest automated capacity management technologies like Sumerian CPaaS is crucial. It arms enterprises with powerful predictive analytics and ‘what if’ scenario modelling, delivering fresh intelligence into IT service capacity, risk and cost,” said David Stevens, CEO, Sumerian. “The certification of Sumerian Sync Services means that Sumerian CPaaS has enhanced its integration with the ServiceNow environment, giving users greater insight into their capacity at a business service level. Service Managers will gain greater confidence in their ability to manage service capacity, risk and cost effectively; and ensure they have just the right amount of capacity, at the right time and at the right cost.”

Sumerian Sync Services is available on the ServiceNow Store.
