Part of a rapid business growth strategy headed up by Entrepreneur and CEO of the Sentronex Group, Joe Sluys, Terence joins a growing New Business and Sales team, managed by Paul Marks.

    Background:

Terence worked at Thomson Reuters for 7 years, starting as a Financial Application Specialist before moving swiftly into Sales and Account Management.  Having worked closely with a variety of clientsincluding Investment Banks, Investment Management, Commodity and Energy firms, as well as London-based Representative Banks, Terence moved into managing a portfolio of Hedge Fund clients.

Prior to Thomson Reuters, Terence worked as Sales Manager at Odyssey Logic,a company developing bespoke algorithmic trading software based on technical analysis.  Odyssey Logic was the second company to write Bloomberg’s API.  Terence is also the Director at Afrifinance and Koppa Mining Services & Supplies – both companies are focused on trading, investment and agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa.

    Why Sentronex?

Terence explains his reasons for joining Sentronex,

“I am excited to join such a young, vibrant company as Sentronex.  I have known CEO Joe Sluysfor a number of years.  It was his entrepreneurial forward thinking and drive that encouraged me to join the company.  Sentronex has a lot of growth potential, a great team behind it and a number of strategic assetssuch as the firm’s Financial Services focus, datacentre and dual-site DR facilities in SE1 and E14.

The changing landscape of the buy-side sector, particularly Hedge Funds, gives Sentronex the perfect opportunity to help the market maximise efficiencies.  Outsourcing much of the ‘heavy lifting’ to Sentronex, such asITsupport, infrastructure and vendor management, inevitably frees upthe financial institution to focus on their owncore business.”

Paul Marks, Sales Partner, says of welcoming Terence,

“Sentronex is delighted to welcome someone of Terence’s calibre to our team. 2014 is set to be a big year for Sentronex, and with the knowledge and experience Terence brings, we expect to see Sentronex supporting further growth within the Buy-Side community.”
