    The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Ruskin CFPTM Chartered MCSI as Chairman of the CISI IFP Forum Committee.

    The IFP Professional Forum encourages CISI’s financial planning members to share their ideas and listen to presentations by other practitioners. The Forum provides an opportunity to meet other professionals and engage in open discussions in a confidential setting, as Forums are conducted under the Chatham House rule.

    Martin is Head of Business Development at Paradigm Norton Financial Planning Ltd and has been Deputy Chairman of the CISI IFP Professional Forum since its formation in 2015. He takes over the role of Chairman from Ian Howe who has stepped down. Ian remains a CISI member and CFPTM professional.

    On his appointment, Martin said: “This is a very exciting time in the growth of the profession of financial planning in the UK and I am honoured to take on the role of chairing the CISI IFP Forum, as it continues to assist its members to help shape the profession for the benefit of UK consumers.”

    Jacqueline Lockie CFPTM Chartered FCSI, CISI Head of Financial Planning said: “We are very pleased to welcome Martin as Chair of our IFP Forum which represents the financial planning community’s interests at CISI. I’d like to thank Ian Howe for his enthusiasm and generous service to help build the financial planning community at CISI and we wish him well for the future.”

    The global body has nine professional forums which include the practitioner areas of: Bond, Compliance, Corporate Finance, International Regulation, Financial Technology, IFP (Financial Planning), Operations, Risk and Wealth Management.
