A panel of successful tech entrepreneurs will be sharing their experiences of entering the booming industry at a discussion hosted by law firm Joelson during this year’s London Tech Week.

Entitled What makes a successful tech entrepreneur?,the discussion will explore the various routes into the tech industry, how entrepreneurs can succeed in the competitive sector and the barriers they may face – particularly if they are a female.

Hosted at 28 Portland Place (W1B 1LY) from 6pm on 12 June 2018, guest speakers include Justine Roberts CBE, Founder and CEO of Mumsnet, Sam Wigan, Co-founder of Beluga Bean and Maxim Cramer, Founder of Menennia and a leading software engineer. The event will be chaired by Joelson’s own Managing Partner and tech sector specialist, Philippa Sturt.

Speaking ahead of the talk, Philippa said: “Entering the tech industry can be a fairly daunting task for entrepreneurs, but with the wealth of opportunities on offer it is often worth the initial risk.

“By drawing together a wealth of knowledge from some of the world’s top tech leaders we hope to give those who attend an insight into how to achieve success in this lucrative, but competitive sector.”

Joelson is no stranger to London Tech Week, which this year takes place across the capital from 11 – 17 June 2018, having hosted a successful event in 2018 that saw nearly 100 guests attend and attracted interest from international media organisations.

“London Tech Week continues to grow year-on-year and as one of the leading legal firms assisting start-ups in the tech industry we believe it is only right that we lend our support and expertise to this annual event.” added Philippa.
