KnowBe4, provider of the world’s largest new-school security awareness and simulated phishing platform, has appointed Ruth Schofield as its UK Managing Director. Ruth will be responsible for leading KnowBe4’s UK operation, which established a formal beach head in the UK in 2017, for setting out and delivering on the Company’s long-term channel strategy and developing a robust partner network across the region.

Ruth, joined KnowBe4 as Channel Manager EMEA in early 2017 from Pingthing, a B2B Marketing Agency specialising in optimising IT vendor and partner marketing where she was head of sales.
Ruth has a proven track record in building growth and credibility within the channel community. Prior to Pingthing she held head of channel roles for Signify, a managed security services provider, Accumuli Security Plc, and, before that, Proofpoint.

KnowBe4 has already achieved some very impressive revenue figures in the U.K. year-on-year, leaping by 553 per cent in FY17, adding 330 customer wins in the same period. The company has also appointed more than 300 new partners and will continue with this expansion during the course of 2018 as it focuses on helping channel partners to improve their security offerings. Hiring plans for 2018 include increasing the existing headcount of six to more that 20 by the end of the year.

“We have built up a strong channel network in the UK over the past twelve months and this emphasis on partnerships and enablement will continue as we focus on assisting our partners to differentiate themselves and add value to their customers,” comments Ruth Schofield.  “I’m delighted to take on the role of UK Managing Director for Knowbe4 at such a pivotal stage in its development and look forward to building on our success to-date and in growing Knowbe4’s presence in this region as the best-in-class SAT platform.”

“Ruth has proven herself to be a dedicated, channel-friendly executive who brings tremendous knowledge and expertise about the region to her new role as our UK managing director,” said Donna Turgeon, senior vice president of channel – global at KnowBe4. “We have significant growth goals for the UK & Ireland and I’m wholly confident in Ruth’s ability to lead our UK team to meet those goals. Her focus and hard driving nature will help KnowBe4 exceed the targets we have set for the region, while also fostering a ‘channel-first’ attitude that will do nothing but benefit our partners.”
