Its Chairman Sheldon Cordell was one of a number of specially invited guests to the Mayor of London’s event, which officially launched the week-long schedule of events to promote the Capital’s burgeoning tech industry.

At the event, a number of Joelson’s solicitors held a legal clinic on behalf of London & Partners – the official promotional company for London – for tech companies seeking professional advice.

During the event, they met with a number of businesses ranging from well-established companies through to innovative new start-ups, providing them with support on everything from IP protection through to exit strategies.

Speaking after the event, Sheldon said: “I was very honoured to be invited to take part in the official launch of this exciting week of events. Our team were on hand throughout the conference providing tech companies with useful legal advice. The feedback we have had from those who attended and spoke to our team has been excellent.

“London’s tech sector is bucking the trend nationally and seeing lots of interest from overseas, so I am glad we can play a part in this success.”

Joelson also hosted its own panel discussion event on the first day of London Tech Week, next door to its offices in Portland Place, which was attended by nearly 100 business leaders and academics, as well as members of the international press.
