ITRS Group (“ITRS”), the leading provider of real-time monitoring and analytics for financial services, has acquired OP5, a Stockholm headquartered global leader in providing IT monitoring and log analysis technology built by enhancing the open source software of Nagios/Naemon and ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash & Kibana).
OP5 addresses the needs of enterprise customers by providing greater scalability, APIs for controlling the software and its configuration, and enhanced visualisation of the data. OP5’s 600+ customers include data centre providers, telecommunications, automotive and financial services.
Guy Warren, CEO at ITRS, said: “With a combined experience of almost four decades, OP5 has huge strength in network and infrastructure monitoring and log analysis, while ITRS serves some of the most demanding requirements of the financial markets.
This acquisition creates an opportunity to leverage expertise and offerings to benefit our customers.
“ITRS and OP5 will continue to independently focus on their respective core markets while adding value to customers in areas such as capacity planning, network monitoring, log analysis and big data storage and analytics. This allows us to leverage our investment in R&D across a larger market and customer base.”
The purchase of OP5 follows ITRS’ strategy to build, buy and partner to deliver smart, automated and predictive end-to-end monitoring solutions for increasingly complex IT estates across industries. This development follows the successful acquisition of Sumerian, and partnerships with Apica and Velocimetrics to offer capacity planning, synthetic monitoring, load testing and real-time business insight.
OP5 CEO, Jonas Vestin, added: “IT professionals rely daily on solutions from OP5 for their business-critical IT services. OP5 will remain and operate as a separate brand and entity, fully owned by ITRS Group, with Jonas Vestin remaining as CEO of OP5 and joining the senior leadership team of ITRS Group.
