Icon Solutions identified as one of 1,000 most inspirational and innovative companies, outperforming the market

London – Icon Solutions, the specialist provider of global payment technology solutions and consultancy services, has been named as one of the ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ in the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) annual analysis.

The report is designed to celebrate the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The LSE has released its fifth annual roll call of UK recognised as having outstanding qualities and performance. The initiative identifies 1000 of ‘the very best,’ small and medium-sized businesses in Britain for taking “the spark of an innovative idea and shaping it into a life-changing reality – making them not only innovative but also inspiring”. The report states that “small and medium-sized enterprises are the heartbeat of our economy, driving jobs and growth… and in doing so, creates high-quality jobs for the next generation”.

Tom Kelleher, Co-Founder and Commercial Director at Icon Solutions, commented: “We are delighted that such an important and influential body as the London Stock Exchange has recognised Icon for this accolade. It is in recognition of our talented team and their commitment to providing world class consultancy and technology solutions to our growing international client base.”

Tom continued, “Being included in this prestigious list illustrates Icon’s dedication to combining deep domain knowledge with multi-disciplined consultancy, culminating in the creation of the leading payments technology on the market. IPF, is being adopted across banks in Europe including one of the largest global banks who understands what it takes to differentiate in an evolving industry. Our continual drive to innovate stems from our desire to improve the technologies that underpin the financial sector, whilst reducing unnecessary complexities and thereby empowering our clients.

“The honour of being identified as a world class organisation goes to prove Icon’s DNA of simple technological solutions for complex problems, critical to moving the industry forward.”

Since its launch nine years ago, Icon has grown from three founding directors to a team of over 140 professionals, working closely with many of the world’s leading financial services companies.

Congratulations to fellow companies recognised in this report including C. Hoare & Co and Baillie Gifford.
