According to a new study conducted by Technavio Research, the global woodworking market to grow steadily at a CAGR of around 3 percent by 2021. The key growth factor for this market is demand for engineered wood and wooden furniture. The industry experts say that this market is growing because the real estate developers and end-users are giving more importance to the aesthetic look of the buildings.

The huge range of products showcased at the Dubai WoodShow includes wood products, woodworking machinery, blades and knives, tools, abrasives, industry solutions, and much more. The show, being highly specialised, provides the perfect opportunity for the regional and international companies to showcase and learn about wood and woodworking and to build new strategic relationships with buyers, traders and investors.

The Dubai WoodShow is one of the biggest events in the industry in the region and across the world. Last year’s edition is witnessing the largest participation, in terms of visitors, exhibitors and the exhibition space. In addition, the organisers anticipate more than 300 exhibitors from over 106 countries to visit the show. The total area of the exhibition is 17,388 square meters, offering to exhibit the companies a chance to display their products and offerings in a vast setting.

SIMCO Industrial Machinery, a UAE-based pioneer aluminium, woodworking and steel machinery importer, exporter and supplier, will expand operations into Oman and Kuwait as part of its Gulf-wide expansion that will help the company support the growth of the region’s manufacturing industries.

“SIMCO currently operates three branches in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iraq and we are planning to expand in coming years by opening branches in Oman and Kuwait,” Eng. Raed Zuhier Damrah, Manager of Wood Division of SIMCO Industrial Machines Trd. Co. LLC, says.

“The manufacturing sector is aggressively booming year after year. We have seen massive growth in our industry and by the year 2020 we have great expectations from this market. The advantage of being with SIMCO is that we are financially strong enough to undergo any face growth.”

SIMCO, a company that celebrates its silver jubilee this year, will unveil new technologies-enabled and high-performance machinery that will boost industrial output in the UAE and GCC – at the Dubai WoodShow 2018 that takes place from March 12-14 2018, in conjunction with Dubai International Furniture Accessories, Components and Semi-Finished Products Show (DIFAC) 2018 at Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE.

Participation in international industry events – such as Dubai WoodShow – is part of company’s expansion plans to go global.  SIMCO is considered a pioneer in UAE’s aluminium, woodworking, sheet metal, steel fabrication machinery market with major projects under its belt. Business success is due to Simco’s in-depth knowledge and track-record of handling complex projects.

“During Dubai WoodShow, we are exhibiting all our latest machinery which are useful for the industrial growth with latest innovations and upgradations. The intention of this participation is to accept the challenges of our customer’s demand and to provide them with the solution to their demand being as a consultant and machine supplier,” Raed Zuhier said.

“SIMCO is a multinational company and our core business is industrial machine trading import and export throughout GCC, MENA Region, Asia and Africa continents. We generally import the machines from various countries from our suppliers and we do the marketing for their products and find potential customers to sell it locally and internationally. Being a giant company, we have our own maintenance team to take care of our customers as after sales services.”
