The Scope Group, the leading European provider of independent ratings, research and risk analysis, has chosen Graf Waldersee as the new chair of its supervisory board. Financial expert Carsten Dentler joins as new committee member.
Georg Graf Waldersee succeeds Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld who stepped down as chair of the supervisory boards of Scope SE & Co. KGaA and Scope Management SE at this year’s annual general meeting on 24 May 2018 in Berlin, due to overlaps with other supervisory board mandates.
Graf Waldersee has been a member of the supervisory board of Scope SE & Co. KGaA and Scope Management SE since 1 July 2016. Prior to that, Waldersee spent many years in managing positions at Ernst & Young (EY) and Arthur Andersen, most recently as CEO of EY for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He has extensive experience dealing with capital market-oriented companies operating both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld, chairman of the board of the “Deutsche Fondsgesellschaft SE Invest” and, amongst other positions, member of the supervisory board of Italian bank UniCredit SpA, assumed the office in 2016. Schoeller has expressed his thanks for her work, stating that, “She has contributed to Scope’s further strategic development and European expansion with skill and great commitment. I am delighted that she will continue to support the agency in an advisory capacity.” Boeckenfeld, who holds a doctorate in law, will maintain her close links to Scope as a member of the advisory board which is led by Dr. Peter Gloystein.
Management consultant Carsten Dentler is a supervisory board member for printing press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer AG and was a member of the management board of Morgan Stanley (from 2006 to 2016) and UBS in Germany with responsibility for investment banking and corporate clients. With his election, a further renowned financial expert joins the supervisory boards of Scope SE & Co. KGaA and Scope Management SE, providing long-standing experience in managing positions in the financial services industry.
The actions of the general partner and the supervisory board of Scope SE & Co. KGaA for the 2017 business year were approved at the annual general meeting.
