During its annual regional partners meeting in November in Dubai, Deloitte admitted Ahmed Al Qassabi as partner in Deloitte Middle East. Ahmed has deep assurance, financial advisory and regulatory experience and has been instrumental in Deloitte’s Omanisation program, which aims to develop the skills and careers of Omani youth so they can take leadership positions in the firm thus supporting the country’s Vision 2020 economic plan set out by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Ahmed also leads ‘Mustaqbaly’ the firm’s Omani recruitment, training and development program, now in its second year.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Ahmed spent several years at the Oman Capital Markets Authority (CMA), where latterly he held the position of Director General – Issues and Disclosures. In his role at Deloitte, Ahmed handles key clients in Audit and Financial Advisory in Oman, and leads corporate governance initiatives.

Ahmed is a graduate in accounting from Sultan Qaboos University and is a Fellow of the UK’s Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
