LONDON (Reuters) – Deliveroo will trial its “Deliveroo Hop” rapid grocery service with supermarket Waitrose, with a delivery-only store opening in Bermondsey, London, later this month, Waitrose said on Thursday.
Waitrose has an existing partnership with Deliveroo to deliver food from 150 Waitrose shops across Britain.
The “Hop” service will cut delivery times to as little as 10 minutes for those in the dark store’s vicinity, half the time of its service from traditional Waitrose stores, said the John Lewis partnership grocer.
