Coupa Software (NASDAQ: COUP), a leader in business spend management (BSM), was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Travel and Expense (T&E) Management 2018 Vendor Assessment. Among the nine vendors evaluated, Coupa is recognised as a leader for capabilities and strategies.

The IDC MarketScape is based on the capabilities and strategies of cloud T&E management solutions providers, and incorporates insight from IDC’s analysts, as well as feedback from the vendors’ own customers. Coupa customers, according to the report, “highlighted value delivered and the cost of ownership as areas of strength. Customers also said Coupa has an excellent user experience.”

“We are proud to see Couparecognised as a leader for Travel and Expense Management applications in the IDC MarketScape report,” said Rob Bernshteyn, CEO, Coupa. “We are delighted to see customers around the world continually gaining measurable value from our innovative Business Spend Management solutions on one innovative and user-centric cloud platform.”

The report cites that “travel and expense applications are evolving rapidly as vendors invest research and development dollars into bolstering, augmenting and, in some cases redesigning their applications.” Coupa is among the nine vendors evaluated by the IDC MarketScape because its travel and expense applications can serve complex T&E management requirements, which are most often seen in midmarket, large enterprise, or high-growth organisations.

Coupa should be considered, according to the IDC MarketScape report, “if you are a business of any size in need of an expense management application to function as part of a broader business spend management platform.”

The IDC Marketspace report cites three key differentiators for Coupa:

    • Fraud detection and audit: Analyse expense data at a granular level to help prevent fraud and spend leakage.
    • T&E benchmark reports: Find out how you stack up on common T&E metrics against companies of similar size and/or in your industry.
    • Report score: Show your business travellers how compliant their travel expense reports are every time.

Born in the cloud, Coupa is a BSM platform “that is tightly integrated and delivers a broad range of capabilities,” according to the IDC MarketScape report.

The BSM platform accelerates business by unifying processes across all the ways employees spend money. These processes cover travel and expense management, procurement, invoicing, and related source-to-settle areas. Using the Coupa Open Business Network, the platform has connected more than 3 million suppliers and delivers a powerful solution for businesses committed to controlling their spend.
