Keith Durkin brings experience counseling clients on a wide variety of tax, estate and business planning matters
Keith Durkin, an experienced tax attorney and wealth planning advisor, has joined BakerHostetler as a partner in the firm’s Orlando office. Durkin comes to BakerHostetler from Broad and Cassel LLP.
Durkin is an established practitioner who can handle any client’s tax or business planning needs, no matter how simple or complex. He has experience in a broad range of matters, including tax planning, intra-family wealth planning, business succession, asset protection, all probate matters and sophisticated estate and trust administrations. He routinely structures estate plans and business operations in the most tax efficient manner possible, while achieving the client’s stated goals.
Durkin has served as the lead attorney in a $20 million estate litigation, where he obtained a favorable settlement for his client and provided other representation that included restructuring trusts, providing income tax advice and preparing various complex tax documents. He has also led numerous corporate matters, including a $40 million multistate corporate restructuring that was part loan and part sale.

Durkin earned an LL.M from the New York University School of Law, and a J.D. from the University of Miami Law School. He is a board member of the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and sits on the board of directors for the Orlando Metro YMCA.
