Sweden's government unveils a $747 million package to support small businesses with tax cuts and incentives in the 2026 budget.
STOCKHOLM (Reuters) -Sweden's government will cut taxes on small businesses as part of a 7 billion crown ($747 million) package in the 2026 budget to help boost jobs and growth, Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch said on Wednesday.
"Sweden should be a country where it is easy both to start and grow your company," Busch told reporters.
She said the package would include lower taxes for 60,000 small businesses, temporary incentives to employ young people and cuts to red tape to make businesses more profitable.
The minority right-wing coalition has outlined an 80 billion crown boost to the economy in its budget for 2026, an election year.
Measures announced so far include income tax cuts, electricity tax cuts, and also lower VAT on food.
The government will present the full budget on September 22.
