With the beginning of a New Year, people make a number of resolutions, and entrepreneurs have also jumped onto the bandwagon by creating several to help them run their business. There is however several things you should take into consideration when creating such resolutions for businesses. To help you set up resolutions that are achievable in 2019, and are based off trends we have outlined some of the points that we used in creating out own.

Plan for Increasing or Updating Your Online Presence

Going online is all well and good, but if you have not been taking the necessary steps to ensure your website is updated regularly then you need to concentrate on it during 2019. Making a plan for updating a website regularly is ideal as it will give you the necessary time to create content for it. As a result of regularly updating the website, visitors can check out current information in blog posts or see a feed of social media accounts running at the bottom of a page with news and events.

Help Other Entrepreneurs in your Industry

As an entrepreneur it is likely that you had to build your business up from scratch and have amassed a lot of experience and knowledge along the way. Offering to help other entrepreneurs who are setting up businesses in a similar industry allows you to build partnerships. By sharing your expertise you can also create opportunities for new business down the line, and it also ensures that your reputation as an expert among other entrepreneurs increases over time.

Get Social Media to Work for Your Business

Setting up social media accounts and maintaining them can be a process filled with a number of pitfalls. However, if you put enough thought into creating relevant and engaging posts and videos, social media can help drive your business growth. Especially with video in the vertical mode becoming popular creating stories and videos on platforms such as Instagram can bring in more leads for your business.

    Improve Communication with Your Customers

Communicating with your customers can be improved and not just in terms of better handling of emails and phone calls by customer support. Instead, social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook and other platforms can be used to deliver the latest information as these posts often reach customers on their mobile devices, and their queries can be responded to in the comments.

Create Steps to Put an End to Procrastination

Putting off working on tasks can lead to endless procrastination and in your company missing deadlines. As a result products and services arrive late in the market and on several instances you have to forgo vacations and time-off to put in the extra work needed to complete them.  So set deadlines for completing tasks and do not procrastinate.

Allow Employees to Work from Home

Giving employees the ability to work from home means providing them with flexibility, and there are several benefits which arise from such a policy such as doing away with a daily commute. Added to this, costs of maintaining and running an office can be cut on the day in the week when employees work from home.

Finally when creating New Year resolutions for your business, do research online to find out what other entrepreneurs are doing. As it gives you the ability to find out trends and tips that could improve the functioning of your business in 2019, and also bring in more profit.
