MISYS SELECTS 285 MADISON AVENUE AS NEW AMERICAS HQ

  • The move signals commitment to Misys growth in the US

Global financial software company Misys has selected 285 Madison Avenue as the new regional headquarters for its Americas business. The firm’s 150 employees in New York will occupy a 23,492 square foot floor of the 26-storey, Class-A commercial real estate building owned by RFR Realty and GreenOak Real Estate.

“New York City is a key global financial centre and home to many leading financial institutions from the Americas and around the world. It has been a core market for our business for many years. The move signals our commitment to continuing our growth in the US and opens up significant potential to expand our relationships across the region’s vibrant financial services ecosystem,” said Nadeem Syed, CEO of Misys.

Misys, which provides banking, capital markets, investment management and risk solutions to 48 of the world’s 50 largest banks, will join several prestigious tenants of 285 Madison Avenue, including General Electric Company, MetLife’s Brighthouse Financial, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Tommy Hilfiger. With capacity for a 200-person headcount, the new regional HQ offers Misys the space to support its growth ambitions.

Nadeem added, “This is an energising move for our team in New York. It provides us with additional capacity to accommodate our growing workforce as we continue to bring innovative solutions to market. Moreover, it demonstrates our commitment to our employees and making Misys a great place to work.”

Building facilities include a lounge, restaurant and bar, gym, bicycle room and roof terrace. The Misys offices feature state-of-the-art meeting room facilities designed for highly efficient communication and collaboration.

Misys North America has been headquartered at 1180 6th Avenue for the last 10 years.
