SSE's SSEN Transmission will invest $28 billion in UK grid infrastructure from 2026-2031 to aid decarbonisation efforts.
LONDON (Reuters) - SSE's power network arm SSEN Transmission plans to invest at least 22 billion pounds ($28.03 billion) in grid infrastructure from April 1 2026 to March 31 2031, it said on Tuesday.
Britain has a target to decarbonise its electricity sector by 2030 which will require a rapid increase in renewable electricity generation and also huge investments in infrastructure to connect new projects to the power system.
