Maria Kalesnikava, a prominent Belarusian opposition figure, has been released after serving over five years in prison, according to her sister Tatsiana Khomich.
Dec 13 (Reuters) - Opposition politician Maria Kalesnikava has been freed from prison in Belarus after serving more than five years, independent news outlet Zerkalo cited her sister Tatsiana Khomich as saying on Saturday.
Khomich said she had spoken to Kalesnikava by phone, the outlet reported.
