Park’N Fly has continued the tradition of giving back to the community by hosting Home For Dinner for families staying at Ronald McDonald House® in Winnipeg Manitoba on September 14, 2016. Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for out‐of‐town families who are in Winnipeg while their critically, chronically ill or seriously injured child receives essential medical treatment.

“We recognize the vital role that Ronald McDonald House plays for families across the country and have witnessed the impact of donating our time and hosting similar Home For Dinner events in recent years,” said Carlo Marrello, Chief Executive Officer of Park’N Fly. “Our staff remarked that the best part of volunteering for this event was spending time with the families while they dined and hearing their personal stories.”

A buffet consisting of barbequed chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta, veggies, salads, fruit and cake was served to several families who joined the Park’N Fly team for dinner. Park’N Fly’s sales and marketing team prepared the meal and dined with the families after all of the menu items were served. One family remarked that they were delighted that the Park’N Fly team joined them for the meal as no other group had done that in the time they had stayed at the House.

“We are grateful to the team from Park‘N Fly for hosting a Home for Dinner. It was wonderful to have these helping hands from coast to coast, reach out to help us care for and support our families by providing a nutritious home cooked meal,” said Pat Battellino, House Manager, Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba. “These families are far from home and loved ones at a time when they need them most. So having others reach out by cooking and sharing a meal with them is very comforting.”

This event coincided with the launch of Park’N Fly’s newest location, a Valet Indoor parking facility located 2 minutes from the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport at the beginning of September. The Park’N Fly team convened in Winnipeg for Park’N Fly’s annual sales conference and were provided a tour of the company’s newest facility located at 820 Berry Street in Winnipeg.• MONTREAL • HALIFAX
